Tijuana is a city that asks no permission. It constantly reinvents itself, absorbs influences from both sides of the border and turns them into something entirely its own. Llanero Coffee Bar was born from that same energy.
An obsession that became a project
It all started with a simple question: why didn't coffee in Tijuana tell a story? There were coffee shops, sure. But there was a missing space with its own character — a place that felt like something that could only exist here.
The answer came in the form of an aesthetic: the Mexican west. Not the Hollywood western, but ours — the Baja desert, the dust and the horizon, the people who work the land and travel far to find what they're looking for.
The name
The llanero is the cowboy of the plains — free, resilient, honest. No unnecessary pretense. That's exactly what we wanted for our coffee: well-made drinks, no complications, with character.
Every drink on the menu carries that spirit. El Forastero, the newcomer with mocha and coconut. El Dinamita, the unexpected fusion. El Tecolote, herbal and refreshing like the desert night air.
Tijuana as an ingredient
We couldn't exist in any other city. Tijuana gave us the freedom to mix cultures, to break rules, to put tajín and espresso in the same glass and have it work. The city is an active ingredient in everything we do.
